Dee spent 15 years working as a senior manager in both the public and private health sector. Whilst preparing for her own pregnancy at the age of 35, she became fascinated with the subject of fertility and decided to go back to university to re-train. She did her fertility training at the University of Central Lancashire, qualifying with distinction in 2006. Dee is also a qualified counsellor having completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling at the University of Edinburgh in 2018. She is a member of BICA, the British Infertility Counselling Association, and COSCA. She has written blog articles about fertility issues which have been published both here and by The Huffington Post.
Dee opened Edinburgh's first private fertility awareness clinic in 2006. A year later she joined colleagues Rachael Forrest and Fiona Wolfenden in creating The Natural Fertility Centre, Scotland's leading specialist support service for natural and assisted conception. In 2012 they moved to their own dedicated premises in Edinburgh's beautiful New Town.
Dee lives with her husband and teenage twin sons in Edinburgh.
